GOAL Program (Going Onward and Learning for our future)

We are very excited to announce that the first list of students that made GOAL has been finalized. These students earned a 4.0, 3.0, 2.0 GPA or had a .5 improvement in the third trimester last year. In addition, these students also had at least a 90% attendance (including both absences and tardies) and did not have any suspensions. These students attended their first Field Trip to Palo Alto Bowl on September 10 th . Congratulations to all that made GOAL!! Keep up the good work! Please note that only 7 th and 8 th grade students were eligible for trimester one for the GOAL program as the students qualified based upon last year's trimester three grades and improvement. 6 th graders, do your personal best every day to make your GOAL!

There are 4 achievement levels for GOAL. These are:

Grizzly = 4.0 GPA
Polar = 3.0 GPA
Kodiak = 2.0 GPA
Bear Paw = .5 improvement GPA

Membership privileges:

T-Shirt—All students that make GOAL will be given a GOAL T-Shirt. This shirt will be worn to all GOAL events.
Block G—All students who make GOAL will receive 1 Block G point.
Lunch—Each week, on Tuesdays, GOAL students will be allowed to go to lunch 5 minutes early. Those students that are wearing their GOAL T-shirts will be given a raffle ticket. At the end of lunch, tickets will be drawn and prizes will be awarded.
Rally—Every month there will be a GOAL Rally. This rally will be held at the end of the day.
Tea—Once a trimester there will be a GOAL tea. This will be for all students that have made GOAL and their families.
Field Trip—Once each trimester, GOAL students will be invited to attend a field trip. The trips are as follows:
