Transition to High School

The two local public high schools are in the Mountain View Los Altos High School District. They are Mountain View High, on Truman Street in Mountain View, and Los Altos High, on Almond Avenue in Los Altos. Eighth-grade students generally receive registration and orientation information in the mail from the high school for the district they live in.

High School Principals spoke to parents on January 31, 2018. Please see the video.

Often MVLA hosts a "High School District Math Night" in late November. This informational night helps parents to learn more about the high school math pathways available for your students. In addition, the Computer Science and Engineering Courses and pathways will be presented. Look for this year's date on Graham's calendar and Bear Tracks.
