Yosemite Trip for Eighth Graders

During one week of the school year, typically in the fall, eighth graders visit Yosemite through a NatureBridge environmental science program. Students stay in Half Dome Village and are led on day hikes by professional guides. Students sleep in sleeping bags in heated, waterproof tent cabins with some linens provided, such as pillows, towels and wool blankets. Graham teachers and parent volunteers chaperone the students.

Students meet at Graham at 7:30AM on Monday of the trip week, to be assigned Trail Groups and board buses. Students return to Graham by bus on Friday of that week at approximately 6:00PM.

Typical Daily Schedule:
6:30AM Rise and shine
7:15AM Breakfast
8:30AM-4:30PM Trail Groups
5:10PM Dinner
7:00-8:00PM Night Program
Lights out 30 minutes after return from Night Program
